Taken at twilight in late May.
The red glow in the sky was melting into the floodlights on this famous island.
Mont-St-Michel is best known for the medieval Benedictine Abbey and steepled church that occupies most of the 1km-diameter clump of rocks jutting out of the waters of the English Channel.
