    I would say your first two images have the same issue; you are shooting the backs of the graduates, rather than their faces. A graduation ceremony is all about the people and the caps and gowns without the people who are being honoured for their hard work is a little bit empty, in my view.

    Your third picture would work better without the policeman and staircase in the background. They add nothing to the image and are rather distracting. I think you would have had a stronger image for this and your fourth shot, had you turned your camera into the vertical (portrait) orientation and had captured more of the person and less of the background.

    Gayathrie,

    I think I can see your concept with the first two images, new graduates facing the future; this could have worked if you could control the composition and had some time of endpoint for the viewer to look upon. Nice effort.

    I had the same thoughts as Manfred here but I like the interpretation of John...it is a very nice thing to be able to think that way. So +1 to both men..
