Perfectly understandable there have been reports of photographers roaming around the Death Valley in over 120 deg F so your effort is reasonably sane. I take it a cold beer was only a few meters away. Anyway it was far too hot to be sanding back the wood and repainting it. So taking a photograph was a far better option.

Jeez!! did you really ask that question? If I were you, I'd go to the mall and find some victims to photograph...darn! at least it is cooler there inside...
