    No dedicated macro lens with the new camera. This may the last wee beasty for a while

    he or she is about 3 mm long and the colours are pretty close. He has a translucent shell so sharp focus is hard.

    Congratulations on your new gear...what happens to the one you replaced it with? Are you going to keep it just for the macro option? Or you have to get rid of it?

    Myra has decided that she would like to have a go at photography. She used to have a compact and she is looking forward to getting back into shooting.

    Strangely a DSLR. The Sony Alpha a58. B&H had it on sale for half price with a decent lens. The only bridge cameras that came close to its quality were twice the price. As of now it has made it about 2/3rds of the way to my anxious hands.

    Sorry about that half price is a bit of an exaggeration, it was closer to 1/3 off.

    they appear to like dark green vegetation and seem to catch my eye as an out of place orange dot.
