Nice capture, a bit tight on the crop. It shows the relationship of father and son but having all of the horse presented would make for a better composition.

Hi Dean. To me, it looks like the father is showing his son how to hold the reins, or how to rein the horse -- which is an important aspect of the story. If I'm correct, to make this a stronger image, I would have tried for a different angle (I know it's not always possible) so that you could see that better, and also gain a better view of the full expression on both of their faces (which appears to be rather sweet).

What I noticed first is the toddler's expression, then I looked at the father...what a nice bonding moment between them. This kid will always remember this and many more, if there will be...Good nice shot.

Yes, the father is showing his son how to rein the horse. Would have loved a different angle, but there would have been only gray sky as the background.
