Candid Portraits (mostly) - Birthday Party - C&C Welcome

I am less than 1 year now in photography. So, I am still an amateur hobbyist.

Here's my eye-view during a birthday celebration. I was a guest, so no pressure on capturing the obligatory shots like candle light blowing, etc. There was a hired photographer. And I don't want to intrude his space, so I took photos where I was at the moment (or behind him). All shots were candid, street style, no flash.


Please provide your views and suggestion with framing, composition, and processing, etc.

Hi Jay-Ar - welcome to the CiC forums.

If you'd like some feedback, I strongly suggest you read and follow the guidance in the first post in this thread:
How to Get Effective Feedback for your Posted Images

Expecting members to go to your website and comment here on pictures (there) that others (here) cannot see, plus the fact there are no reference numbers (1, 2, 3, etc.), just makes it too difficult for almost anyone to help you.

You need to select a few (5 or less) to post and be visible here in this thread.
Choose wisely so you get feedback that will help you - on ones you put some effort in to getting right - and tell us what it was you did that you hoped would elevate them above mere snaps of people at a party.

HELP THREAD: How can I post images here? may be useful to you for linking pictures so we can see them here.

The best advice I can give, having viewed just a few of the (very) many shots; is that you should start with an unobstructed picture of the 'birthday girl' on her own - you know who she is (i.e. what she looks like), we don't.

If you have any difficulty editing the first post, just pop the pictures in a reply below and I'll tidy the thread up by moving them to first post and deleting these posts.
