Re: Hummingbird
Hi Steve,
Brilliant image, I can't fault the capture, well done.
I do wonder whether PP (or downsizing with bi-cubic sharper?) has introduced a bit of a white edge though, this is most noticeable under the beak and around the feet. I might be wrong - it could be natural, difficult to say lighting wise; s/he looks to be in shadow with a sunlit background, but if the bird is backlit, that could explain the edges I am seeing.
Anyway, brilliant image I'd be well pleased to have captured myself,

Re: Hummingbird
Thanks guy's, glad you liked it. This was shot with a canon 40D and 300f/4L +1.4TC from about 8 feet away. (still had a 50% crop) It's really though to get the bird in the lens and away from the feeder + get a solid focus lock. It took quit a few tries to get a good one. Now that i know what i need to do, i'm trying to get one with a lower iso and higher shutterspeed. This one was iso 1000 and SS of 1/320s . I'm hoping i can get a better one soon.
