Nice composition, the shot looks posed however focus seems to be soft at f/7.1. Were you using center focus?
Yes John, you are right. I was running after that small kid for so long but somehow I could not get him standing at one place. When I got him some people were standing behind him, what you can see in my shot. I kept f/ higher as I liked the layers of people standing behind him. I m just sharing what was there in my mind while taking this pic. N focus was yes center focus. I think except birding, I have never chance that setting. I m not so clear about using different focus.
Hi Tejal,
I asked about the focus because if it were in 3D tracking or similar mode it would explain the softness as the focusing mechanism would be searching for a target. At 1/125s you should still have been able to get the slightly mobile group in focus, perhaps the softness is due to camera shake.
There was maximum possibilities of camera shake, as i get some seconds only to capture that kid. Perhaps I was not that prepared too for that shot. Focus, I think it was center focus only. 3D tracking ....no. I m very sure about it. So many things I dont know about camera & photography technicality . So, in giving reply, if I fail in providing you proper information, please bear with me .
I love the composition of this one, Tejal...very nice...I like that naughty little boy too. His expression is priceless.
Also those boats in the background will also make a good shot one day with all the textures and peeling paint there.
I like the image Tejal, the young boy looks full of mischief just the way I like kids
I like the brown/grey ruggedness of the bridge contrasting with the colours in the image.
Very nice
Looking at this image in full screen size, everything seems sharply focused except the tyre and a couple of areas on the boy so I suspect there was a slight subject movement.
However, that is examining the image very critically; it is a good composition with sufficient colour and no over exposure.
Great composition, loved it
