Nicely captured.
Love the capture of the lean, well done.
Great action shot Kim,
I really like the way you have handled the contrast - e.g. that of the head vs that of the lower body, legs and behind where the dust has been kicked up and is so well lit by the sun angle.
Not to mention the nice, simple background.

Hi, Kim. Would love to reply, but cannot see photo. This is happening on about half the items I try to open. Any ideas?
Dean,
When the photos are consistently not being displayed, it's a temporary glitch. Perhaps return to the forum hours or a day later and it will probably be resolved.
Kim,
Everyone has already mentioned the details that make your photo so enjoyable. I only wish the strap extending to the left side of the frame being used to control the horse had been separated better from the background. Perhaps ask the trainer next time to use a brightly colored strap if there is one. If you or a friend has one, loan it to him for use during the shoot.
Also try to arrange a shoot when the training is being done close to sunrise or sunset. Then position yourself so the dust is strongly lit for a highly dramatic scene.
Wonderful capture Kim, very nice
Great shot Kim
Ah, yes, I agree and it doesn't help it is aligned with the brown fence.
Regretfully there will not be a next time as this was not a friend's horse. I was photographing a hay farmer and I saw this horse being a bit wild, so decided to watch and have a little fun shooting him. I wish it was during sunset... it def would have been very dramatic.

That's a fabulous capture Kim. My only thought might be to lighten his "face" a little and bring out the eyes a bit more but unless I see it, I couldn't be sure.
I just want to add to the praise, Kim. When I clicked on the link and that image popped on my screen, I said, WOW! Very well done.
Thank you for commenting John. This image looks a lot different on my MAC then it does here -- it was so different, I actually checked to make sure the right one was posted. As mentioned earlier, when I posted it, the advanced view was showing his hoof cut off. Reason I am sharing that is -- I did PP on his face - just as you mentioned. It looks nice on my MAC, but def loses the richness here.
Beautiful action shot.

Such a great capture! Nice work. I love how everything is lined up so beautifully here... The horse being centered between fence posts, the lovely (but not distracting in any way) background, the movement and energy as evidenced by the dust/angle/tail detail/etc. I like how you see the world around you.
