    Kudos to Nduke. The Sony may not have supermacro but it does a pretty good closeup.

    Nicely captured, have you tried a levels adjustment to give it a bit more pop?

    A lovely photo Brian and you certainly have nice separation between the background and the subject though I tend to agree with John the flower could do with a bit of tweaking it just looks a little flat and grey to me.

    in both RT and Gimp. I was trying to emphasize the stamen rather than the leaves. I dimmed the leaves down a bit by adding in a touch of blue.

    We have lots of these weeds/flowers. I will try again tomorrow weather permitting.

    Brian,

    I think if you leave the stamen as is and bring out some of the tones of the leaves, the stamen will stand out more just by the contrast of tones.
