And the green grass grew all around
I thought I'd share a shot I took last year. I would love to have been there during the golden/blue hours, but that was not possible.

Re: And the green grass grew all around
Do you have anything else with a human element added to it? Just curious...t'would have been nice. This is a nice beautiful place to sit around and have a picnic. Thanks for sharing...

Re: And the green grass grew all around
Thanks all.
Izzie, funny you should ask that. I have the exact same shot with my partner standing at the lower right 1/3 power point. I'm not much for taking shots of people, but I do occasionally add a human element in the foreground for shots like these. I can post it up tonight.
Ziggie, the exact location is 36.5500, -118.3388. The general location is 3 miles S/W of Mt. Whitney summit looking west over the upper Kern River canyon at the Kaweah's and Great Western Divide.
In three weeks, I will be in that background range shooting toward where I was standing for this shot.
I think I'm going to reprocess this shot because I think it has more potential.

Re: And the green grass grew all around
Please do...I bet it is more beautiful...a human element helps anchor the shot especially as you describe it...

Re: And the green grass grew all around
I used to always have the HE in these shots when I shot film. I always carried a red bandana just in case my human didn't have any warm colors on to give a sense of closeness. I should probably start doing that again.

Re: And the green grass grew all around
I did not think of that HE thing...but the HE thingie on the last shot is actually very nice...I find it more comforting to see someone enjoying the same view.

Re: And the green grass grew all around
I'm glad you like it. I think a little red bandana hanging off of the pack somewhere would have been a bit better
I think this (both) is next for reprocessing.

Yes, HE certainly adds to the image
