We spent a few hours in Rockport MA and of course the trusty camera was along. The sun was setting just after dinner, so the pictures I took were all taken at or during the "golden hour" period.
I have mixed feelings about the small towns that we visited outside of Boston. They seem to be heading down the into the "lowest common denominator" tourism, so far as I can tell. With kitsch and tackiness replacing their former existence. Rockport (aptly named as it what where granite that quarried in the area was shipped out from there) appears to have been both a fishing village and a place with large and small vacation homes. The vacation business seems to be winning as the pleasure boats in the harbour seem to outnumber the fishing boats.
1. Sunset with fishing boats.
2. Motif Number 1 (fishing shed). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motif_Number_1 This seems to be the town icon the everyone paints and / or photographs, so I thought I should too.
3. Fishing equipment.
4. The face of a touristy town.
