    Watching The Sun Come Up

Okay, I finally processed the image in colour and am quite happy with it.

This is myself watching the sun come up this morning from a place called Mumbles, Swansea.

    Thanks for viewing.

A good one Matt, very effective. In a different class to the other 'selfies' we see so many of these days

    Great composition and mood!

When post-processing a scene such as this with such strong, bold lines and contrast, you really need absolutely no sharpening. So I urge you to eliminate the sharpening, which will also eliminate the halos. Doing so might eliminate the strong chromatic aberration but I doubt it, so use your post-processing software to do that.

Thanks Mike, I didn't noticed the CA if I'm honest. But I've taken your advice

Congratulations Matt on a great image which; had you not included yourself would for me, not tell a story. Your inclusion makes me think, that person is enjoying watching the sun come up. But... they can't be a photographer otherwise they would have their camera and tripod set up to capture the view Watching The Sun Come Up

I saw the B&W of this and liked it, the colour version is good too, but whoa, you gotta deal with that CA.

LR/ACR has a very good CA removal tool, just find it and switch it on (and make that as default so it isn't overlooked in future)

    Cheers, Dave

    It 'so peaceful....
The way you are standing there i couldnt tell that u ran to take the pic ... It seems like u were deeply drowning in your imagination when some smart photographer hunted the moment....
