My wife was about to throw away a garbage bag filled with bits of lint accumulated for years and years from the lint filter in the clothes dryer. She happened to notice one red bunch of lint showing through the white garbage bag and mentioned it to me. Naturally, I had to photograph it.

I guess I must throw out our lint more often than you do, Mike. None of the samples in our garbage are nearly as interesting, colourful or photogenic as this one.

To think; in the past we thought of you as the wine bottle or (broken) glass photographer. Now you'll be remembered as the "lint guy".

My wife has no idea how long it has been since she threw away the lint. She uses a pretty large bag, so there really is no reason to throw it away until it is filled up. By the way, this photo was made using only about one-third of the lint. There are only the two of us in our household so it takes a long time to fill up the bag.
