You are not too far off from the township after all...or the second one severely cropped? I bet it is...I like #1 too though there is a little bit of overexposure there at the top of the moon. I would also remove the little bit of leaves at the bottom of the frame. Overall it is a very nice shot...looks like you are able to sit down and relax in those nice views on your property...quiet night and a glass of beer, so they say...in the company of love ones...
