Very nice series for the first trial Kaye
Very nice series for the first trial Kaye
I have not been in the UK since mid July and when I have had good comms for some reason Tinypics did not want to accept my photos. But I have managed to keep up with this project and now have the opportunity to catch up.....
So week 30 and we did a small detour from our very unplanned route to watch the Tour de France in the Alps. It was on my bucket list to sit beside the road with my motorhome and do this - the bonus being I have now seen myself on TV too as we recorded the coverage back home (oh the wonders of modern technology)
For those of you who have attended the event, or one like it, will know you have loads of waiting time and then, whoosh - it all happens. So I spent a lot of the waiting time, practising angles and shutter speeds, framing etc. so that when the whoosh came along I would a/ get some good shots and b/ have time to enjoy the event. I also wanted to capture the essence of the day. We were also very fortunate that Le Tour came past us two days in a row, first downhill and then uphill - so I got two bites at the cherry
So first some setting the scene shots

Needless to say I took loads and loads of images.....today I have tried in 10 shots to convey the event - have I succeeded ? how many pictures do you need - is there a minimum/maximum?
These work well, Kaye.
There are a few of the race photos where I would consider cropping just a fraction tighter to reduce a bit of distracting background.
Obviously some tricky situations here but you have managed to deal with the fast action and difficult lighting.
The composition & shooting aspect in 'sun worshipper' really caught my eye & imagination, well done!
Nice series Kaye
