Thanks Dave for the reply, appreciated. If you don't ask you will never know.

I just can't decide between them - I like them both.

Both are awesome but 2 is my fav. I may have to follow in your footsteps - this is just down the road from me. Is it accessible by car or is it a hike?

    Hi David

Thanks for your comments. The lake is accessible by car at a number of places, no hiking required. There is however quite a bit of private land fronting the lake so it's not open slather. There are three main access areas to my knowledge - the main dam wall and picnic area, the camping ground which is a bit further around, and then another area further around again where these shots were taken (which is a bit more remote and harder to find). You turn right at the Mt Edwards Rd and then turn right after about 1KM into a semi-private land area. From there it's a rough track which should be OK for a normal vehicle under normal weather conditions.

When visiting Australia I sometimes get guilt feelings when taking a rental car along such roads. Would not last long with that scene in front of me....
