    Nature's Beauty C&C welcomed

Milkweed (the flower/plant in the image) is one of my least favorite plants. It's very invasive and can be poisonous to horses. We have some that appear in our flower beds and they continue to return every year no matter what we do. When I saw this butterfly sitting on one of the flowers tonight, for once, I was happy the plant was there.

Obviously you have made a horrible mistake with this shot. You forgot to put my name on it. Superb! Shadows, colours, textures and a back ground that works. Just one question... what would happen to the shot if you put the Butterfly on the left? Answer ~ I tried it and I prefer your way. Beautiful shot.

Very nice image Kim, I don't mind the shadow personally, though a little work with the dodge tool might bring up a bit more detail.
    Either way is good

I cannot say anything anymore than it is beautiful...did you put a macro extension tube on your 24-70mm lens? Just curious...

Thanks for commenting Raymond. I like the shadow as it adds to the overall drama I was looking for. I do understand others may not feel the same.

I don't know Grahame, I tried to tell the butterfly to come back a little later, but she would have none of it. ;-)

    Thanks for commenting.

Thank you Izzie. No, I didn't get a macro before I left work... so it will be a bit. I took it with my 24-70 on the 810 (with a significant crop).
