    EXIF is showing ISO 200.

    Pretty noisy for that if true Brian.

    I am sure it is a very honest camera? it may have been my pp. I think i solved the noise problem in the shot i just posted about dark night and dawn? Here is the shot,

    If by “solved” you mean enough black to make the majority of noise invisible then I would say yes.

    There is substantial noise in the areas that are actually visible.

    the entire shot is actually visible. just some of it is a tad dark.

    Which is probably one of the main contributing factors to the noise.

    Brian...

    Under exposure and then bringing the image up in PP is a great contributor to noise.

    I might suggest that you shoot a series with Auto Exposure Bracketing and then see the differences in noise between the exposures.

    However, being an old film photographer, noise really doesn't bother me all that greatly

    Underexposed is definitely my goto setting. I can do auto-bracketing now, I shall give it a try. Thanks
