Abstract, close ups a couple more scapes.

A few abstract interested in c&c interested in composition and whether the vignette did what I wanted it to do.

Nice series, some very interesting subjects chosen for this project. Compositions are fine, I wouldn't necessarily identify actual objects, let the viewer's imagination take over.

Very nice. I might have liked to have the near denim sharp in the first pic. The blur forces my eye away from the center when it might be better for the eye to glide along the lines. For the vignette, it seems it surrounds the middle of the pic instead of the ring in the corner. So, I would move the center of the vignette creating some darkness around the top edge of the frame not just the corners.

Thanks John, I'll go edit them out. Think generally the subject is relatively clear maybe less so in first and last.

Hi Larry, thanks for c&c. I sort of agree, remember thinking about bringing the middle in I was already losing f-stops, had the 36mm tube on 105. Also it was the lines that caught me, struggled with orientation. 1 of those I know there's a picture in it moments

Yeah got to agree needed to kill the shadow on the ring, tried to hide it. Annoying thing saw this one knew it needed a sqr crop too. I'll have to give it another go.

Stef, I like #3, #4 and #7 best....#3 because I like what you did to the separate threads of the fabric. Very artistic use of colour too. #4 I kinda like the softness I can feel in my face had I been able to touch those feathers and #7 is my favourite of all part from #4 of course which I love very much...abstract you have succeeded there in #7...#6 I must admit should have been nice to me but I have done that already so there is not much interest for me on that one -- still it is neatly done.

Nice experiments. 1 and 2 don't work for me - there is not enough in focus for me and for 4 the different areas in focus don;t seem to make a 'whole' for me. The others are all lovely - as a set they would work on the wall

Thanks Izzie, have to admit I can't help but do the feather ones, have a little jar of them. You'd struggle to feel them, the biggest isn't even a cm long. Glad that's what you got though.. As for 6 pfft now that wasn't easy, I will be back. 7 initially annoyed me as the stream was oof but saw the lines and colour, think it's probably my favourite.

Thanks Kaye, have do admit I'm drawn to the oof in the feathers. Find if sharp it doesn't give me that feathery feel that me and Izzie get. Do get what your saying eyes get drawn to the oof center. Have to get back onto the demin, quite liked the lines in the first. I did struggle trying to work out orientation though. I kinda liked the mosaic look it was heading towards seems I'm alone. I'll have another go with more dof.

Stef...I have a boxful of them for my crafting stuff -- I think I used mine for cards and place setting for events and dinner. Some are quite small and some too big. I have different colours and sizes...then I acquired a feather from Oz from one of our Emu and dingo farm tour, plus some egg shells. I brought it here to the US. I still do not know what to do with them .. yet...
