    Taking the picture while tethered, stacked and merged was easy...fiddling with the
    positioning to get the symmetry was a PITA.

    Were you able to use your rails here
    I think the rails that you're referring to are merely extensions to distribute weight of camera/lens.
    They aren't focusing rails.

    I thought you'd done well with the DoF, seems you had to work at it William.

    Worth all the pain to find the symmetric angle of view, definitely raises it above the norm.
