    The colour is beautiful, Benjy but you need to crop it square...I think...just my opinion...

    Nice flower but why so wide? I assume you use a DSLR with 3:2 format which makes turning it for shots like this worthwhile.

    Yes, but I think it is too centred now...maybe another crop will be easier on the eyes, what do you think? It is certainly an improvement but I maybe wrong on the cropping advice...

    Izzie,aye your correct,I like the yellow Buttercups with the purple/lilac flower.....don,t normally take flowers but it was nice and unusual,the only one around.....The Colour Purple

    Maybe, just maybe, you can cropped off the buttercup at the left side so the purple flower doesn't actually be too centred. What do you think? Just a thought...

    I would guess that this is a Northern Marsh Orchid Dactylorhiza purpurella. However the flower spike is quite elongated. It could possibly be a hybrid between this and a related species. Such hybrids are not uncommon.
