...so it means this is not your shot...nice car but competition. Our neighbour whom we have a love/hate relationship when it comes to cars belongs to the high echelon of the Jaguar club (vintage) while we belong to the Mercedes Benz club of America (new models). Jaguars are an accident waiting to happen (reference the car of Dick Van Dyke). Most members of our club used to drive new Jaguars but moved to MB because of that reason and most of them drives the Lexus as "their normal everyday other vehicle". Just an observation...must be a territorial decision.
No comparison between a new MB and this Jag. Not a track only car this was and is street legal. In 63 Jag made a limited edition of the XKE. But instead of 18 they made 12. This car is one of six hand made Light E's being made today to finish the limited edition run. A straight six, convertible, seats 2, and hits close to 200 MPH what's not to love?
It is still competition...because of our neighbour not because you like it. It is something personal about us here, particularly Bill's.
It's just beautiful!! I remember during my Uni. days in Milwaukee, one of my rich friends had a Jag. What a chick magnet that car was in Summer!! But he could not get it to run in winter! Just as well though! Who would want to expose a beautiful car to Wis onsin's salt and snow!
