    This is a female Sunbird that occupies the Hummingbird niche over here. Aside from the broken talon she appeared alright.

    considering it was pre coffee and ten minutes before I shot it I was asleep it is a great capture.

    in this case yes. aside from the broken talon we could find no injury. she uses her claws to hold on not hunt. If she had a broken wing that would be a different story.

    she flew into the trees, sat for a bit and flew off.
