Towards the Light
A bit of an experiment for me. I think I should characterise this as "Sharon Art" as it is very much prompted by her style. Based on a recent comment that you made Sharon.

Re: Towards the Light
Well it works for me John, could be a cut scene image from a post apocalyptic movie, that was my first impression.
Nicely done

Re: Towards the Light
I'm really liking the concept of the figures "moving toward the light". IMHO, it would be better if
you could get rid of the long hallway appearance...maybe with floating figures as in after death.
Does that sound depressing or what?

Re: Towards the Light
Love it! It screams book cover! My only critique and maybe better put as a question is, could the green and yellow squiggly lines be toned down just a tad?

Re: Towards the Light
I am the same as Barbara but she beat me to the punch line...This is a moving image, Sharon-ish style but different...the first thing I noticed were those greenish things up there...I thought they were hands a la the Creation image/drawing as depicted in Genesis' Let there be...but it was not and so disappointed. Can this be cloned out nicely? Just a thought...

Re: Towards the Light
Wonderful creativity and execution! The black border doesn't work for me, but I'm so lousy at choosing borders I don't have any better ideas to suggest other than white, which is always a safe choice.

Re: Towards the Light
Thanks all for the feedback.
William, who knows what it's like. When I get there I will let you know.
Barbara, Izzie, guiding angels perhaps? They were part of the base shot and I quite like them (I think).
Not sure what they are Ziggy. It's a complete construct.
Thank you mike. As for the border, I tend towards a neutral dark grey anyway and in this case, I thought it needed a darker rather than a lighter BG because the range of tones isn't that big and a lighter border might have competed. Who knows?

Re: Towards the Light
I loved the image John I wouldn't put any borders though as they limit the feeling of vastness in the image.

Re: Towards the Light
Thanks Binnur. The use of borders is becoming borderline. Needs a re think.

Re: Towards the Light
Nice work, John. I think the frame detracts from it, though. There are other ways of 'framing' an image besides the geometric

Thanks Greg. I've always tried to "mount" my images just as you would finish off a print but ..................

Re: Towards the Light
Nice one, John! I agree with others that the wide border detracts a bit. I would still use a border though.

Re: Towards the Light
Thanks Bud. It does work for the right image but I tend to use it all the time. Time for a change.
