Re: Nope! Not a toy!
Thanks, David...
I missed the end of her paw - image right... My wife's hand was in the way and I had to crop it out. I tried to clone out my wife's hand and replace it with the end of the other paw but, it didn't look real...
It seemed at first to be a simple shot but, it actually wasn't! The pup became quite restless and a bit cranky (I don't blame her) and I cut the session short.
I have learned that dogs will tell me when they have had enough and pressing the issue by continuing shooting will only result in bad images...

What a beautiful puppy Richard. She looks like a little Eskimo :-)
Smart man to listen to the animal....

Re: Nope! Not a toy!
The nose of a Maltese is not black when the puppy is born. It turns black gradually, as the pup gets a bit older. The thing about the nose it that it gets black in splotches, I did a bit of cloning on her nose for the image I posted above.
This is what the shot looked like when we set it up. I preferred the darker background..
BTW: In my experience, it is very difficult to pose a dog without a helper, unless the dog is very well trained - which no puppy is!

Well done. What a cute puppy!! You could almost take a shot like that with the puppy laying on his back, could you not? I like the darker background, too.
