For Mike Buckley...wine glasses from our local supermarket...

I went to our local supermarket yesterday and asked the manager if I can just take a shot of their wine glasses area where they also give wine tasting per request...And I remembered your plastic wine glass shots so I took this one for you...just two shots vertical panorama if you will call two shot a panorama...thought you might be interested...

In fact , those look like jars rather than wine glasses. It is a bit sad to see wine in such containers

    Very nice of you, Izzie!

I looked up their web site and each glass holds 6.3 ounces. That's compared to the ZipZ glass I photographed that holds 6.6 ounces.

They're actually more like beer glasses, which is strange enough. The bottom of the glasses is hidden by the display case in Izzie's photo. See this to see the entire shape of the glass.

Was there a hole in the lid where you could stick a straw into Izz?

This thread had gone down so bad... Thank you all for your comment...I just thought Mike might enjoy our equivalent of el Cheapo down this way....less than three dollars!!!

Terry....Terry...drinking straw with wine???? Really. Try it with beer. I heard it can make you tipsy quickly...

Thanks John (Shadowman) when I felt the container, it felt like glass. At least if I use one of them I can keep the glass...

Greg...you are soooo way behind...They are called frozen shots around here. My stepson would do a lot of them for his party and everyone who come are not allowed to go drive home....Thank God for a separate freezer that was a Christmas present to me years ago...every space that I have he uses for freezing those plastic shot glasses then return an hour or half an hour later to put a stick in it...I don't get involve....as long as my kitchen is clean after they finish their silly "creation"...

George, it would have been more useful to me if they contain mustard instead of wine...

I can keep my plastic glass. In fact, the company's website says that you can keep the glass unopened for a year after purchase.

    their silly "creation"...
Nothing made with wine deserves to be called silly. It's creative at the least.

    George,

Kim Crawford is a huge New Zealand winery that consistently makes one of my favorite and one of Wine Spectator's favorite Sauvignon Blancs. They provide these recipes for making wine popsicles.

After a few glasses, you will probably end up like this.

Well seen Izzie, it's nice to see how much interest this created amongst the responders.

I thought the shape of the glass shown in the link Mike supplied to be more of a beer glass shape. The same link then confused me, a White Zinfandel with a "Fuscia Pink Color" now what's that all about?

It's an idea, ice pops made from wine. But be carefull, it also says
Please note: These recipes have not been tested by the Bon Appetit Test Kitchen.

Have no freakin' idea, mate! I just took the picture hoping Mike will like it...'went through the trouble asking permission with the manager of the store and was approved when I said it is not for commercial use... She even accompanied me to the section, watched me then left..

That's actually a reasonably accurate description of white zinfandel.

On the other hand, I noticed their description explaining that its "sweet, refreshing strawberry and berry flavors dance happily on the pallet." They must have one rockin' warehouse, considering all those pallets with flavors happily dancing on them. They should have looked up this website explaining the use of pallet, palate and palette.
