Clouds at sunset - C&C please

Hi everyone,

Usual question, what would you suggest to improve the scene. I'm reasonably happy with it, but there is always someone with a better eye and imagination than I have. There's no more water available at the bottom - too much shoreline!

Very first, instantaneous reaction? - Do a bit of burning on the sunlight on the snow on the hills. Not a lot (you still want to see that there's sunshine hitting the tops), but enough so as not to compete with the sunlight on the clouds.

Gorgeous sky - And I think you want to throw all of the attention onto that, with the land and the water just playing a supporting role.

If mine, I too will be happy with this shot, Dave...I loaded this image in Photoshop and thought I could improved it but no go...I like this version better...

Nicely done, the first thing that came to me was the darkness of the hills, didn't notice the snowcaps until Donald mentioned them.

Although you have a lovely sky I would crop some of it and go for a panorama format , beautiful image Dave

Yes I was wondering if the sky makes it appear a little bit 'top heavy'.

But as a completely different alternative. Reduce the water by around half which will concentrate more on the sky? Then a balancing amount from the sides.
