Subway graffiti .. Too much pp?
Seen this subway a few times, so happened to be through it with my camera one night. Have 2 this first one is relatively calm on pp..
IMG_6693 Still unsure on crop and whether I've got rid of the tilt..
Now this one I hit a blend mode so started seeing it this way so kept going a little shame about the dark on walls ruining composition. Interested in the hate like divide on pp is it something I should pursue or a noooooo? So Izzie is it a yes or no?

Re: Subway graffiti .. Too much pp?
Nice efforts, I like the PP of the first image, the second is a bit too psychedelic but interesting. There does seem to still be a bit of horizontal tilt in second image.

I'm with John on the second one Stef, but I like the first one!

Re: Subway graffiti .. Too much pp?
I like the first one too, Stef...but I think it needs a bit of perspective correction so the road goes this way to the left...must be my eyes... I seem to prefer the road on my left side than the right..

Re: Subway graffiti .. Too much pp?
Thanks John, David that tilt is painful I'll go back now I know how to fix it. It's pretty straight with the grate and top of the path, seems to be the ceiling. When I get chance I'll sort it out.
Izzie forgot about perspective fixing, pp'd same time as the other one.
So looks like it's a no then on pp. Funnily enough the descriptions are what I was going for just seems too far.

No...it is good, I like both of them. I was just telling you my preference. Let me sleep on it and it will be the most beautiful thing I have ever seen by tomorrow...

I like both of them Stef I would crop the ceiling in #2 though.

Thanks Binnur, no sure it works I took it this far.

Seems better any more cropping and the brown takes completely over.
The other one as close as I can get it.

I'm seeing lines still.. Need more practice at that.

Re: Subway graffiti .. Too much pp?
I like the composition and I think that the PP was done very well keeping it real. The second photo is not as well composed and the PP may off alittle , this is very subjective issue and truly depends on the perception you wish to convey . PP many times is warranted in simly some basic elements to reach the optimum expose . Nice work .

Re: Subway graffiti .. Too much pp?
Stef, for me the first is a better photo because of its simplicity and for creating the feeling of a scary walk through the subway into the darkness beyond. If it were mine I would correct the slight tilt. Also the image looks a bit over-exposed and the colour balance seems to be have an unusual slight bluish-white tint. Just a different opinion, of course.
Cheers.

Re: Subway graffiti .. Too much pp?
Good on both edits -- yours and Philip. Just a comment on Philips' blue cast comment here -- the slight bluish-light tint maybe because the shot was done in nighttime? Just a thought...not criticizing...

Thanks Philip, Raymond and Izzie and sorry was late posted the wrong edit.

I like the blue cast gone, I really can't remember but do seem to recall it was there. It is just a touch over in the lights but kind of liked the feel. That tilt has driven me spare. As the above pic I tried to fix the perspective but didn't quite get it.
I agree Raymond the 2nd couldn't quite get the composition then sort of pushed pp too far.
Thanks Izzie

Re: Subway graffiti .. Too much pp?
This last one is exactly what I had done to your shot in Photoshop and I reckon you will find this solution. Good rework...the more I look at it, the more I like it...but not to tread on this place alone...and at night??? Ouch! I am content with just the image...LOL
