    Jeana

Jeana is a Maltese + Bichon Friese who is about ten months old. She is a sweet girl but is a bit fearful. We are socializing her before we find her a furever family. Every day we see improvement which gratifies us...

Thank you for your kind comments. Decent pictures are the key in getting dogs adopted.

These sisters are about eight weeks old and have been with Judy and I for about three weeks...

We got Ace, yesterday. He is the result of parents not training their toddler. The toddler pestered and kicked Ace and Ace nipped the rowdy kid. Unfortunately, even when kids are at fault, dogs usually are the ones who suffer. His family gave him up for adoption. Ace is only ten months old and we will find him a "proper" home soon. I am confident of that.

We have just received another boy, Tanner, a 10 week old puppy who was born without one of his eyes developed. We are having the eye removed tomorrow. I will photograph him tonight because they will shave his face for the eye removal and he looks better now.

This is Tanner before surgery to remove his eye which had never developed. The surgery will prevent any future complications.

I shot this image to avoid the undeveloped left eye...

Here is little Tanner after his surgery. He is doing quite well and is on pain medication.

Our vet is wonderful. She performs great surgery for us at a reduced Rescue price. We are very grateful for her help: Dorota Pearson, DVM, San Marcos, CA

I hope Tanner recovers well. He looks like he'll have trouble getting food to his mouth but I know these collars are used regularly on dogs and cats so presumably eating is not a problem.

    Re: Jeana

Normally when dogs have had surgery, we use an inflatable ring around the neck instead of the plastic collar. However, that is toprevent the dog from chewing the incision. This collar is to prevent Tanner from scratching his eye...

And yes... Tanner can eat and drink quite well with this collar.
