Hi Brian Beautiful flower but IMO the image looks a bit soft. How about an unsharpmask with some radius? Please let me know if you want me to take the edit down if you don't like it

She who Must Be Obeyed just e-mailed me to let me know the proper spelling is ROSAL. I also just found out via a google search that it is a Gardenia.

The day I don't let a well intentioned edit appear of one of my shots is the day the moderators should throw me out of this group. I can see an improvement in the Gardenia but you also sharpened the foliage. Maybe a sharpened Rosal with my bg would work?

Brian the sharpness in the foliage didn't bother me in this image because the beautiful white Gardenia really draws my attention. But if you are able to use layers in GIMP you can always remove some of the sharpening in the BG with a mask and a brush. You can even darken some of the BG if you want

I can do everything but darken the background. SWMBO has suggested I need to lighten up.
