Helpful Posts: I've been watching this spider for a couple of weeks; she lives up in the eves of our house, about 10 feet up. Today I noticed she had captured a gecko. This was shot with a 400mm lens, no time to set up a ladder and get close, so a rather tight crop. Note the baby spider (about left center of shot) feasting on mama's kill. C & C always.

I was just about to comment on the gecko...how did that happened? I will not be surprised about a fly or something similar but a gecko??? Great shot....!!

the spider looks a lot like one of ours that can grow up to 9 inches leg tip to leg tip. I have seen a full grown one spin a web strong enough to trap a Swift / Swallow.
