This is a beautiful shot, Jeff...but why the dark clouds? I just googled bug polarizer...seems to look good...I wonder how it can be used with metals like my husband's airplanes which are both metals...would be nice to try...is it expensive? How does it compare to the circular polarizer?

Izzie, I have a Hoya pro model circular polarizer 77mm. It cost around $80 which isn't too bad, compared to the B&W and other more expensive brands. It does the job pretty well. BTW...the "Bug" in bug polarizer in my photo's title represents the "Bug Lighthouse", nothing to do with a polarizer. I just named it that way to remind me that I used a polarizer filter on that shoot.
