Birds, Birds, Birds...
I haven't posted here in a while, been kind of busy. It's hot in Florida now... so a good time to go back over images and re-do. One of the great features of Lightroom is that you can always do-over without any pixels being destroyed in the original file. Here are a few birds I worked on recently.
Great Blue Heron
Nikon D7000, Nikon 70-300mm F/4.5-5.6 VR AF-S ED shot at 300mm (450mm FFE), Matrix Metering 0 EV (should have been +1 EV image was underexposed) 1/500 F/8 ISO 200 AWB, Post processed in Lightroom 6 and Photoshop Elements 10, Cropped for composition and presentation
Red-breasted Merganser
Nikon D7000, Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED shot at 400mm (600mm FFE), Matrix Metering 0 EV, 1/2000 F/5.6 ISO 320 AWB, Post processed in Lightroom 6 and Photoshop Elements 10, Cropped for composition and presentation
Bald Eagle
Nikon D7000, Nikon 70-300mm F/4.5-5.6 VR AF-S ED shot at 300mm (450mm FFE), Matrix Metering 0 EV 1/400 F/8 ISO 200 AWB, Post processed in Lightroom 6 and Photoshop Elements 10, Cropped for composition and presentation
Black-bellied Plover

Ring-billed Gull

Limpkin

Re: Birds, Birds, Birds...
Very nice set. I did find that the background in the Merganser and the Plover looked rather washed-out. Was that as it actually was, or was it done in PP?

Really great shots, my favorites are the first heron and the Limpkin grooming. Well done. I envy your patience in waiting for these shots.....
