Nicely captured and converted. I often see these buskers performing, but in our modern day use of technology I see too much competition with mp3 players. At least he has a few avid listeners.
Yes, works fine. Worth viewing at full screen size where the fine detail is more apparent, and slightly stronger contrast as well.
Nice image and conversion
Melanie,
Well seen and nicely composed.
contains all the elements needed to tell the story: the musician, the onlookers, and the the lady sitting behind him.
She is bare-foot and holding an open liquor bottle so I assume she is a street person just whiling away the time by listening.
Very nice street work.

I'm getting older so I wear cheaters, more normally called reading glasses. I was looking at this image and was wondering why the photographer would want to use such a pink cast to the gray. I then took my glasses off. Oh, it's not pink. There's some kind of coating on these cheep reading glasses that changed the tint of the image. So, word of warning to you folks-of-a-certain-age, if you use cheap cheaters, some of them have an anti-glare coating and it can change tint on what you are viewing.
Very nice capture Melanie, nice conversion and very atmospheric.
This is a great cross section of life on the streets. I feel very sorry for people like that woman whose life has apparently gone down the mouth of a bottle.
Nice.
The internal communication and non-communication are a precise elements.
Good Juxtaposition.

A great photo. I think it is enhanced by displaying it in monochrome.
I've done a bit of busking in my time, and more often than not, it is not very rewarding. Sure there are some coins in his guitar bag but the fellow on the right of the photo isn't diving into his pockets for money. He, like the rest of the "audience" seem to be just killing time.
You have captured the scene brilliantly.
Well seen and nicely captured.
Thanks for your comments guys!
Works well for me !
