    Bluewater Bridge at Sunset

This is a shot I took of the Blue Water Bridge that connects Point Edward in Canada with Port Huron in the USA. It is the second busiest land crossing between the two countries, There are actually two bridges, the old one with its steel girder construction which is in the foreground and the new one that has concrete pillars and road bed and it is a bit further back in the image.

I liked the look of the concrete and metal against the sky.

What lens did you use on this one? It looks huge and expanded, it has a bit of noise, just the right amount. Would this be because it was already a bit dark when you shot this ? High ISO setting?

Heavy duty noise reduction was used

Shot just before 9:45PM. Sunset was at around 9:00 PM. ISO 4000 used.

Nice timing for the light Manfred. Managed to keep the streetlights in balance. An interesting mix of structures as well.

Thanks John. I took my own advice that I seem to give here quite often and took a number of bracketed shots to achieve that balance and look I was after.

Thanks Jim - The PoV is effectively what I wanted to get; the complex concrete and steel structures and the lighting at "blue hour". I tried to position the street lights in a way that they added compositionally.
