This is a very elementary effort at a composite photo

Jeff, your base image has potential for a matte painting of some sort...

Nice effort, if this could be incorporated into a gif this might work; especially if only the lighthouse flickered.

    Re: Composite

For me I liked the idea but there's something missing from the back image. Not sure if it's more negative space to put it into or maybe the lighthouse in another form. May even be the angle on the top image. Can't put my finger on it, just feels uncomfortable.

    Re: Composite

A bit of creative thought Jeff but for me, as with others, it hasn't quite come off. I think the reason is that it might have worked if the light had been used as a total overlay on the image but inserted into the image as this is, IMHO, it looks out of place.

I agree that it looks out of place etc....I am just beginning to experiment with this stuff so please bear with me. But I do see some potential with it. I really appreciate your input!

I like your idea...But I'm not sure how to work with moving gif files. But I'd like to try and learn.

    Hi Jeff,

You might need to use five or six images with each having a different opacity for the lighthouse, if that's possible.

The opacity will just multiply ?

    Re: Composite

I have no artistic brain at this time of the night/morning...but I prefer that the overlay-ed lighthouse be more straight than angled? Just a thought...

Nor me. The two images are too disparate.
