Hi Kim,

Thanks for commenting. He is participating in a new fad called Bubble Soccer. Each person is enclosed in a thick bubble with harnesses inside and they then try their best at the game of soccer. It is hilarious to watch as a player can be launched across the field if struck by another player, they then bounce until they can regain their legs.

Interesting photo.
Really nor sure what I was looking at until I read the explanation, and having seen a televised feature on Bubble Soccer just a week or so ago, I immediately understood what this was all about.
The rods with suction cups keep the player's inner compartment separate from the exterior of the ball.

Hi Robert,

Yes, I took various shots, photographing as I would a sporting event, but none were as interesting as this cropped close-up. Sure the other shots displayed the footwork of sports, but the event was so humorous that I needed to take another approach.

Oh boy...I was trying to understand what was happening on your shot but I didn't until I saw the video which Binnur uploaded...then everything fell into place. That was quite a good close-up, like peering into his world...the game is so much fun and safe for sure..
