    Looks good to me though I will prefer more space at the front than at the back...The colour of the feathers has a good separation from the water because they are not of the same colour...are you able to ID this one?

    Looks like the mottled duck but then WNY isn't it's normal habitat (Texas to Florida), but you know how birds are. Thanks for commenting.

    John, I like the way the rock basically fills up the lower part of the frame. Lack of space in front of the duck doesn't bother me at all (but them I've been told that I know nothing about composition). I do know what I like. Also, sure that isn't a Mallard hen? Sure looks like one to me.
