    change in workflow. I start with levels and work to adjust the histogram.

    I always use Curves, Brian. It is a bit more 'fiddly' than Levels and takes a bit of time to fully understand the technique; but it gives you the opportunity for finer tweaks once you have mastered the process. Also, good when you use various Blend Mode options, such as Luminosity etc.

    In Sony Express one of the Curve pre-sets is a five point adjustment. So far my best efforts come with a simple 'S' curve. Once I get competent with Levels then I will start trying to work more with Curves.
