    A Big Bird

This bird was easier to photograph than Izzie's hummingbirds. The ostrich is a beautiful bird, and manages to live in a place where there are lots of dangers.

Great composition taking full advantage of the bird's posture.

Good one. I like how you were able to catch the "kink" in its neck.

Nice shot, Chuck, but that crick in the neck... ouch!

Did you consider cropping the left half off?

Talk about a "kink" in the neck! Great capture; I love the expression in the eye!

Thanks to all for the comments. I thought this was more interesting than the more common shot of the ostrich with its head up. Izzie, if you would enjoy it, add it to your wall paper. Greg, your idea of cropping off the left side is interesting. I tried it, per your suggestion. What do the rest of you think?

Yes, I think the kink and the eyes make it.

Great capture, Chuck! I had no idea these birds could do that with their neck. I love how the head and neck are set off by the brown body feathers, too. Very cool shot.

I love the composition. I'd leave the cropping as is ... Any further cropping might destroy the integrity of the photo. The position of the eyes is perfect!
    Great photo, Chuck
