Me also, I usually do not like this sort of thing, that said I do like this one very much.
Cheers: Allan
They are both lovely--dreamy, even.
Not sure what to make of the second one William but the first one is spectacular. It's an absolute cracker. I love the way you have processed the sun and the luminance in the sails.

I suspect the second image would get better reviews if it was shown on its own and not compared to the excellent first scene.
The first one for me, even though the image is filled with warmth there is a bit of loneliness associated with the capture.
Adage proven true...my daddy told me long ago that when you solicit opinions from two folks
you always get three different opinions.
I do wish I could understand what it is that lures me to this lady's work...https://1x.com/member/ursula
Interesting comments, I like the first one.
For me the second one is too much work, my eyes will not settle.
Interesting because I do have an unfocused flower photo that does not cause me the same problem.
I do like the first one, 2nd one doesn't work for me though.
Love the colours in both of these William but for me the second one just is not working as I think it is too blurred to allow the viewer to recognise what the scene is.
For the first one perhaps another option would have been to frame it so that the sun and the associated problems with it were out of the view.
Opinion one: I like them both.
Opinion two: Probably like the first one a bit more.
Opinion three: But would prefer to have a softer shadow on the water.
I like the first one. The composition is good and the colours are brilliant. I love the red light in the sails of the larger boat.
The second one is shows some artistic work with Photoshop. Initially I was confused which of those lines near the centre was the horizon!
All right all Aussies on board minus 2...I like the first one too, William...it is a real image, good composition, nice colours, generally pleasant to look at...as for the second one, my artistic brain is still in my bed asleep...too early in the morning to concentrate on anything that is not blurred...sorry.
I like them both for very different reasons. #1 is a great composition. #2 is pure abstract. I would not wish to hazard any preference.
John
They both work for me William.
The first obviously is a real winner, picture postcard stuff.
The second is colour as art. No focal point as such but to me a pleasant image to explore
The first image works for me. The second one has too much going on. I don't know where to look.
Cheers Ole
Exquisite! I adore both images. The thought comes to mind what the 2nd image might look like in a panorama crop simply because the colours and swirls are the most beautiful to me, ie; less sky.
Thanks to all...although I am a bit surprised at the positive feedback...appreciate the kudos.
