Jeff I like the composition of the first image the best. One of the items you have in you shot are wet rock, now wet rocks rock, however you need to take advantage of them. If I may suggest (I do not know what you use to process your image however I will assume LR or Photoshop), using the adjustment brush paint the area of the wet rock and use the shadow slider to increase detail in the rocks. After this is done you can lower the exposure 1/3 to 1/2 of a stop to help with the deep richness of the sky. If the rock get to dark than an adjustment of the shadow slider will pop them back up front. Just my way of thinking.

Enjoy your shots of the Maine coastline Jeff.
After that sunset maybe head to a “lobster pound” for some tail and corn and a cold one to wash it down.
