    Re: Old sheds

-3 when I was taking this shot at 7:30 am hence the frost on the roof.
Can't say I'm overly pleased with it, I do prefer the late afternoon sunlight on the shed and the background seems a bit hazy for some reason.
I think the only way to get full light on the roof would to try later in the day.
Anyway I guess it's interesting to compare the different lighting.
I notice the horse on the hill hasn't move far overnight
    Regards, Greg

I too prefer the late afternoon shot Greg, golden light is always the best

BTW I thinkk there is a stud farm there. I can see two horses in the late afternoon shot.

I agree, the shading destroys any advantage provided by direction of the light.

Just curious. Are there huge conifer trees along the road shading this, like the one to the left of the shed?

This scene looks much better at full screen size.

The frosty air probably caused a bit of distortion in the distance but not really a problem; although I would have ideally liked to have a slightly stronger blue sky.

There is another in front and slightly left of the building then vision is totally obscured by high roadside Hawthorn bushes the further left you go so the front and right are my only possible points to shoot from. I will return to this farm and try to track the owner down, maybe morning light from the opposite side of the building might bring better results.
