White Rose
Took this one at the University of Tennessee Gardens last Saturday. Converted to painting in Topaz Impression, then opened along with the original as layers in Photoshop. Added a layer mask to the original and painted the petals back in at 50% opacity.

Looks fine to me; no exposure problems or hard shadows etc. An interesting approach to a tricky subject.

The flower is lovely, Cliff. If this were mine, I might be tempted to soften the brushstrokes in the background. I would love to know how to do this, if you ever feel like writing a tutorial...

For lack of use, I deleted my Topaz filters. Maybe I can bring it back some...can you do a tutorial? Please...

perhaps a little heavy in the back ground. I wish I had white roses to experiment with. You did good.
