    I like it Brian,

If mine, I might have positioned it a tad lower and slightly more to right of the crop.

In this instance; a 'tad' is bigger than a 'slightly'

I played with the crop for close to an hour. It is indeed not quite right but it was as close as I could get it... today.

Or...simply rotate the image 180 degrees. Regardless, I'm liking it.

I tried rotating the image but to me it was facing the wrong direction

I'm a sucker for roses and this is gorgeous! Absolutely beautiful. I quite like the asymmetric positioning. (From my childhood , a reminder that only God can be perfect, but aspiring for perfection is Godlike!)

I will let you in on a secret. This was going to be a traditional shot until my hand took on a life of it's own while I was adjusting with levels. Instead of a tiny adjustment of the mid point it moved the pointer seriously to the right. All it took then was some playing to get it where it looks like it does now.

It was a bit of luck with a bit of experimenting but it did all come out nicely.

Absolutely. The worst thing the Olympics ever did was to start handing out 10's. We have just expanded our roses and they are starting to bloom nicely. Only two varieties but with lots of backgrounds.

Agreed, and as explained in a previous reply as much luck as skill.
