Hey guys, regarding the auto-focus, I have a question here. Whenever we set our camera to auto-focus, can we still rotate the lens focus ring? I am using Nikon D5000, 18-55mm lens. Your contributions is deeply appreciated. Thx!![]()

Not familiar with the Nikkor lenses, but if it has full time manual focus(It should say this in documentation) you can MF in AF mode.
On that lens, I think not, I believe the switch on lens barrel is marked "A" and "M".
Most recent Nikkor AF-S lenses are marked "M/A" and "M", these can be manually focused while in AF mode ("M/A"), turning the ring takes it out of AF until you next release and re-apply the half press of shutter button.

Dave (Mr Humphries) is right, so is Shadowman.
Your lens should perform similarly to this 85mm f/1.4D (Youtube video).
Edit- hmm, my second sentence is not showing up...
