Firing up the Hot Air Balloons

We went to a hot air balloon festival last night. Photo opportunities were limited due to the logistics (balloons did not go up, light frequently or all at once, etc), but walked a way with a couple of abstract images...

As you will see, I did find the flames fascinating and beautiful.

Both nice, but this, I think, is a beauty. The lighting is great. The colours and the shapes are wonderful.

My favourite is ... none! I love both of them for the shots you took despite the difficulties. Absolute brilliance in the sometimes to the others, mundane, but to me it represents the beauty of your choice: fire -- without which the balloon will be that, a roundish cloth. I like the way you see what to choose to put in your shot...I am a klutz when it comes to artistic choice. Shame on me...

Well thank you Izzie. The balloons didn't excite me very much; I preferred the beautiful flames - they looked like they were dancing - and I enjoyed the warmth they were throwing. When I showed my husband what I captured, he scratched his head...he's very black and white, and I like being gray. We're all different, and that's what makes the world so interesting and dynamic. So no, you are not a klutz, our eyes all like and see something different.
