I like the composition of #2 and the last one is good, too. I do not know what I do not like in #1...I think the title of the image is not appropriate for it. #2 is an excellent composition in my eyes lining up the eyes of the man with the background. The last image is captivating...

Thanks . The title is given just to showcase, which community I am trying to portray here. I was also thinking about some other good title, but still nothing is coming in my mind. If you have something in your mind, please share. It will help me to give an appropriate title to the image.

Nice series, very imaginative captures for Raven of Ramayana and Durja Pooja. Nice black and white conversions. My favorite is the first image, great capture of the patterns and lines, and nice mono conversion.

Thanks John . As per you, is there any of them, not suitable for the theme or weak ?

    Hi Tejal,

At first I thought the kite image was out of place but read up on Makarsanktanti and now see how it fits into the celebration. I think the kite image should have appeared at the beginning of the series; sort of a series of the fun, symbolic, and physical effort involved in readying for the celebration.

The first three images work best for me Tejal. The mono conversion leaves less to take my attention away from the main subject, the people.
I particularly like #1, two stories in one image with the older ladies in deep conversation about something important and the concerned almost sad look on the younger woman's face
    What could be worrying her?

    Thanks Greg.

About impact of b&w images, I totally agree with you.

The image with three women, when I had taken this image, same thing was there in my mind.

I also enjoyed the B/W images best. Particularly the last photo seems like it would have benefited from B/W conversion. You have a real dilemma shooting in a country that makes such use of rich colors and has so much tradition. I think determining when to use B/W versus color should be a high priority for you. But that advise is worth the price you paid for it. I myself am not knowledgeable in that regard and can offer no useful suggestions

The image itself in my mind, the three women, composition and monochrome conversion is excellent. But it is the title to the shot that is sort of like something is missing. Unless otherwise I google your title I wouldn't know which community they belong to. That is what I meant to say here...I am sorry I was a little vague in my first response to your post.
