    Artist - at work

Ganesh Chaturthi - Ganesha Chaturthi is the Hindu festival celebrated in honour of the god Ganesha, the elephant-headed, remover of obstacles and the god of beginnings and wisdom.

In this festival Ganesh statue made of clay or plaster of paris is worshiped for 10 days.

Here is one more shot of an artist making clay idol. In one go, I felt like converting it into B&W but later i realised good red color light on its trunk and I kept it as it is in color.

    Kindly share your C&C.

    Regards,

    Tejal

Very nice, I think the touch of color helps Ganesha emerge from the shadows. Also, the smaller Ganesha gives an effect of effect of perspective.

Nicely captured. The color certainly works well and I suspect B/W would have as well. Great subject matter and nicely composed. My only suggestion is to perhaps darken the bright pole in the BG. It is in an awkward position and I find it very distracting.

Very nice interesting image. I love your series on local artists...

A few very subtle points: I reduced the brightness of the man's shirt and brightened his forearms just a bit. I also added a slight vignette.

    Artist - at work

One minor thing. I would have like to see what the artist's hands are doing...

Thanks Richard. Yes the revised one is looking very nice and catchy. .

About man's activity, I have some shots, I will share those too very shortly. You will come to know how he was making the idol. .

Thanks Dan. Yes, even i realized that and then i tried to correct it. Here is the revised one, where i have tried to dark the pole.
